'Veedhi' is directed by Dorairaj. Audience wonder how did the prestigious production company, Usha Kiran Movies, accept this absurd story. The story is completely unrealistic in nature. There is no punch in the story and characters. The director is totally imbalanced to present the story on the screen.
A CNN journalist Seeta Mahalakshmi (Gopika) comes to Hyderabad to expose a gangster Shivanna whose identity is unknown to anyone. Balapam alias Surya (Sarwanand) and his friends are aimless youth who just do anything for money. Seeta motivates them to participate in her mission to find out the identity of Shivanna. The film is all about Shivanna who just controls a single street in a huge city. Surya and his friends enters the street as some unknown persons working in shops to find out Shivanna. And how did they succeeded in catching Shivanna, forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Gopika has done justice to the role. Hero Sharwanand is wasted in the film. The rest of the gang is just okay. Vinod Kumar’s special appearance is unnecessary, there is no importance for his character. The villain’s characterization lacks punch, he is not at all suited for the role. Songs in the film are totally worthless. Also the climax is really ridiculous. First half is okay with jokes. Director Dorairaj’s handling of the film is amateurish. After his dumb debut (Dhum) he comes again with turkey.
