'Utsaham' is a triangular love story between friends. The movie is directed by Allani Sridhar and he presented it in a different way. Lyrics of the movie are good.

There are three close friends Vineeth (Saikiran), Venu (Amar) and Vennela (Sunita Varma). Venu had parents but Vineeth and Vennela did not. All the three remain friends right from childhood. Vineeth completes his degree in architecture, while Venu did civil engineering and Vennela the interior designing. They get jobs in a company promoted by NRI. Vineeth loves Vennela but did not reveal it. Same was the case with Vennela also. Once Vineeth gets an opportunity to participate in a conference abroad and wanted to tell Vennela about his love after his return. Meanwhile, Venu proposes Vennela.

A villain character is also introduced by the name of OK Raja (Rajiv Kanakala). He gets attracted towards Vennela. So, he befriends with Vennela's roommate Neeraja (Anchal). With her help, OK Raja enters their room by the time Vennela returns and behaves in an indecent manner. So, Vennela vacates the room and joins Venu. Vineeth returns to India and comes to know that Venu also wants to marry Veneela. Finally after some routine filmy stuff, Venu realizes that Vineeth and vennela love each other. He feels guilty and unites the lovers.

Every one performed okay. Comedy scenes looked too absurd and in no way match the scenes. Director Allani Sridhar failed to join friendship and love in abstract form, which was a major draw back for the film. Music by Anurag is good.
