'Janda' is a patriotic movie. It reflects the current political status of our state. Many recent incidents which took place in the state also form the subject of the film. The story of the film is good but the direction is not impressive.

Venugopal (Ajju) is a student, besides a national-level hockey player. He has a strong patriotic feeling and has the guts to bash anyone who resorts to injustice. He enters into a tiff with politicians in match fixing. He happens to meet a girl (Akruthi), the daughter of Pakistan’s Army chief [Jaisingh]. She was a member of Red Cross and a favourite of India. She reveals that her father is planning to create disturbances in India and Gopi catches all the Pak-sponsored terrorists and hands them over to police. However, all of them escape from police custody, with the help of Chief Minister (KC Sekhar Babu) and take shelter in MLA quarters. When questioned by Gopi, he gets a bashing from police. To get rid of Gopi the Chief Minister tells a street rowdy to kill him. But Naxalites come to his rescue and save him. Later, Gopi meets Governor [Kotamraju Satyamurthy], who pleads his inability. In a well chalked out plan, Gopi gets the House dissolved and in the elections defeats the ruling party by launching Yuva Jawan Party.
Later, he takes different steps and put the corrupt officers and other anti-social elements behind bars. When the DGP shows reluctance to arrest a mafia leader, Gopi suspends him and appoints Umesh Chandra (Sravan) in his place. The ousted Chief Minister plans to get the House dissolved by lodging a complaint that Gopi is harbouring a girl of Pakistani origin, who did not have any valid documents. So, at the instance of the Governor, Gopi marries that girl. Then, he wanted to bring the Naxals to the mainstream and calls them for talks across the table. However, the henchmen of ousted Chief Minister attack the Assembly in the guise of Naxalites and kill several policemen. They also kill one of Gopi’s friends. Then Gopi goes to the forest and calls the Naxalites. He tells them that he really knows that those who attacked the Assembly were not the Naxalites, but the crooks employed by the politicians. He tells them that such crooks were being employed to tarnish the image of Naxalites, as they were hiding in forests. So, Gopi makes the Naxal leader surrender and get him elected unopposed. He makes him the Home Minister. As a Naxal leader, he had several evidences against the corrupt politicians.
Finally, the three heroes, Chief Minister Gopi, DGP Umesh Chandra and Naxal-leader turned politician prove that all the disturbances and law and order problems were being created by the politicians for their selfish gains. They invite the bureaucrats, judges and other elite groups in the society, besides the common people to the Assembly and seek their judgment. When all of them say in one voice that they should be hanged in front of the people, Gopi says that it was not enough as they just die an ordinary death and say that they be kept in a cage in the zoo that they were a different kind of animals.
Dialogues by Poosala are good. Music by Vandemataram is good, Especially the theme song. First half has some comedy oriented dialogues.Hero Ajju has given a good performance. All the main characters performed well.
