'Rakta Charitra' is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. And he has come up with a hard hitting tale and though the presentation was good, the narrative was better.
Story:
The story begins with a friction between MLA Narasimha Reddy (kitty) and his loyal aide Veerbhadra (rajendra), this is caused due to the plan by Nagmani Reddy (kota), Narasimha's relative. In no time, Veerbhadra gets killed by Nagmani's plan and enraged by this, the victim's elder son Shankar Ravi (sushant) takes revenge. However, Nagamani Reddy also gets Shankar killed and in comes Pratap Ravi who has been away from all this and wanting to marry Nandini (radhika). However, the death of his father and brother fill him with vengeance for blood and in no time, he starts taking all of them responsible. He finds challenge in the form of the lunatic Bukka Reddy (abhimanyu), son of Nagmani Reddy. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Vivek Oberoi came up with an excellent performance and he fitted the bill. Abhimanyu Singh was a revelation, he will grow in no time. Shatrughan Sinha was impressive, Kota was effective, Radhika was sensuous, Zareena was matured, Rajendra was neat, Kitty was okay, Sushant was quick, Tanikella was elegant, Ashish Vidyarthi was apt, the others did their bit as required.
Music:
'Rakta Charitra' music is composed by Dharam, Sandeep. And the background score was nice but could have been avoided in many scenes, songs were high pitched.
