Relangi Narasimha Rao is known for directing comedy entertainers. But this time, he messed up the entire subject. The film is an ordinary love story but the director tried to give a different treatment but ended up in making a routine stuff. The separate comedy track by Brahmanandam, Ali and Jeeva really tested the patience of audiences, though it was boasted that it would be the highlight of the film.

StoryKantamma (Sakuntala) has two granddaughters - Swapna (Rekha) and Sundari (Revati). They study in a college at Hyderabad and Swapna befriends with Aditya (Aditya Om), while Sundari falls in love with Vijay (Vijayasai). Kantamma is against love marriages as her daughter eloped with a man of her choice. But, she brings up the two children of her daughter with utmost love. One fine morning, Kantamma comes to know that Swapna fell in love with a boy. When she reaches the hostel, she finds that Sundari is also in love with another boy. So, she takes both her granddaughters away to Amalapuram. Aditya and Vijay, who were in search of their girlfriends reach Amalapuram, separately. Aditya was able to find a room on rent in Kantamma's house. A real estate broker Malligadu (Mallikarjuna Rao) tells Kantamma that Aditya is married and gets the room. Once, Kantamma had to attend to a marriage in Vizag and finds her driver is sick. As Aditya tells her that his wife is in Vizag and is calling him up everyday to meet her and because he knows to drive the vehicle, Kantamma insists him to join them to serve the dual purpose of driving their vehicle and meeting his wife. In the marriage party, Aditya finds Swapna and unknowingly tells Kantamma that she was his wife. On learning that Swapna is her granddaughter, he changes his version saying that his wife resembles Swapna and her name is Kaveri. To help Aditya, Swapna changes her attire and presents before Kantamma as Kaveri. Aditya and Swapna take the help of Sundari and Vijay in the process.

They successfully play the drama for some days. Once, Swapna's uncle brings her an alliance. Swapna and Sundari were away right from the morning on the pretext of going to a movie. The bridegroom and his parents reach Kantamma's house. To avoid an unpleasant atmosphere, Kantamma gets an idea to make Kaveri sit in place of Swapna. Luckily, by that time, Swapna and Aditya reach home through backdoor by that time. She accepts Kantamma's word to appear before the wedding party as Swapna. Here comes the twist. Malligadu, who helped Aditya to get the portion in Kantamma's house reaches the place and reveals the truth that Aditya is still a bachelor. Now, Kantamma realises the whole drama and keeps Swapna and Sundari in house arrest. Aditya and Vijay challenge with Kantamma that they take their girlfriends and marry them the next day. As per the plan, Aditya calls up Kantamma saying that they had already taken away her grandchildren. Irked over this, Kantamma and her brother (Raghubabu) go out in search of them, though they were very much at home. After Kantamma left the house, the boys meet the girls and decide to elope. After a little chase, they appear before Kantamma along with the girls' father (Jeeva), who reveals the real colours of Kantamma. It is Kantamma who sends him to jail on fictitious charges, to show her ire against him for loving his daughter. Kantamma also spoils her daughter's mind that her husband is crooked and takes her two granddaughters and daughter with her, just because she hates love. In the climax, she accepts her folly.

Music is not impressive.
Performance
Lead pairs gave an average performance. Sakuntala was in her usual form. Comedy by Brahmanadam and Ali is good to a certain extent.
