'Mass' will be Nagarjuna's fifth hit in a row. His previous blockbusters were Santosham, Manmadhudu, Shivamani and Nenunnanu. His latest film Mass has both class and mass elements in equal proportions. Nagarjuna looks excellent and also has given an excellent performance. Lawrance though a debut did an excellent job with screenplay and direction. The only draw back is, lack of comedy. Paruchuri brothers dialogues are good. Photography by Chota K Naidu is good. Production values of the movie are excellent.

Story:
Father and son Satya (Raghuvaran) and Seshu (Rahuldev) are the most powerful mafia dons of vizag. They kill an honest police officer on the main road of vizag. Then in the next scene we see Ganesh (Nagarjuna) landing in Vizag and stays in an apartment. Why the hero landed in Vizag is reveled in a flash back. Ganesh losses his mother at his birth. A doctor takes the photo of his mother and joins him at an orphanage. Grownup Ganesh stays in the house of Dharavarapu. Dharmavarapu son is Adi (Sunil) a good friend to Ganesh. Ganesh meets Anjali (Jyotika) in the bus stop and at the advise of Adi, falls in love with her. Anjali after knowing Ganesh is a nice guy and also hero of the film falls in love with him. Anjali wants to get married soon. So Ganesh arranges marriage in the temple. He forgets to bring his mother's photo to the temple and go back to fetch it. Anjali's brothers arrive at the scene and kills Adi and take back her to vizag. So to get Anjali from her brother Ganesh lands in Vizag. How he rescues her and marries is the rest of the story.


Music:Music by Devi Sri Prasad has good beats. 'Mass' title song, 'Vallukalla Vayyari' and 'La La Lahire' are choreographed excellently.
Performance:
Nagarjuna is terrific as the mass hero. He looks very young and active. He excelled as class and mass hero in the film, His dances numbers are excellent. Jyothika and Charmi provide the oomph, they have nothing much to do. Rahuldev and Raghuvaran perfectly fit into their roles. Sunil, Dharmavarapu and all other supporting cast did justice to their roles.
