'Kathi Kantha Rao' is directed by EVV Satyanarayana. And he has come up with a formula storyline but then it was his presentation and narrative that was engaging.
Story:
The story begins with Kathi Kantharao (naresh) who is an ordinary police constable but then he has heavy responsibilities as he has four sisters, two of them married, two yet to get married. His father (dharmavarapu) gets a written agreement that Kantha Rao must not fall in love or get married till he fulfills all his commitments. However, Kantha Rao falls in love with Ratnam (kamna) and both of them get intimate as well. Now, he has to resolve the problems of his sisters and also ensure that he marries Ratnam quickly. On the other hand, his boss SI Kanakaratnam (jeeva) develops a grudge on Kantha Rao. How does he resolve all this forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Allari Naresh gave his usual best and carried the film on his shoulders well. Kamna looks gripping hot and she has added another extra ounce of oomph and sex appeal. Kota was nice. Dharmavarapu was a showstealer. Jeeva was good. Ahuti Prasad was apt. Krishna Bhagawan was witty, Ali came and went, Venu Madhav made his presence felt, Kondavalasa was usual, Chalapathi Rao was mature, Raghu Babu was regular. The others did their bit as required and added value to the film.
Music:
'Kathi Kantha Rao' music is composed by Mallikarjun. And the background score was helpful and two songs were good, and remaining were not upto the mark.
