'Hollywood' starring Upendra is an out of routine movie. Though the subject of the movie seems to be different. The loose script and poor direction makes it a complete senseless movie. It is a lavishly made film no doubt. The presence of an expensive producer the brilliant Upendra and stylish cum thinker Dinesh Baboo could have given something more than what is done in ‘Hollywood’.
Upendra diddled a dual role as look alike twins - Surendra and Upendra. Surendra a young and diffident guy works as a scientist along with a professor (Ananth Nag) in Los Angeles where in counterpoint Upendra an energetic filmmaker, whose aim is to make a Hollywood movie that should be supposed to win an Oscar, comes from India and stays with his brother. There stays a lively youngish girl Manisha (Felicity), just next to the brother’s house. Since Surendra is a timid guy he couldn’t disclose his love towards Manisha, while Manisha likes the gushing Upendra. Surendra in his dismay expresses about his love to the professor and the later strains up a robot out of his brains that jibes with Upendra and through his gimmicks he makes Manisha to fall in love with Surendra. In the due course the robot falls deeply in love with Manisha and starts making lots of stirs, as it doesn’t want to lose Manisha at any cost. In order to settle down all this mess, the professor again creates a robot, which is a look-alike of Manisha so that robot Manisha attracts robot Surendra. After coming to know about this look - alike and powerful robots, Mafia in USA kidnaps these people. The climax deals with putting an end to this troublesome triplet.

Upendra donned three roles in this film and he looks pathetic in the film. Anant Nag as the professor did a good job. Screenplay of the film is very loose. Direction is full of flaws. The director failed to hold the attention of audiences towards the story. Camera work by the director is also mediocre. Music by guru Kiran is boring.
