'Happy' is a romantic flick packed with humour. Director Karunakaran has properly handled the script and tried to present Allu Arjun in an elivated style. He also succeeds in establishing proper characterization for the lead pair.
Bunny (Allu Arjun) is an orphan who comes to Hyderabad from Vizag in search of a job that allows him to pursue his M.B.A concurrently. He works at a Pizza Spot as a part-time employee. Madhumathi (Genelia) comes from a family where women are mostly stuck to kitchen. Madhumathi's father is a caste-fanatic. He feels that education is unnecessary for girls. Madhumathi studies M.B.B.S and aspires to be a Doctor. She meets Bunny when she is in 3rd year. They hate each other and keep teasing each other all the time. Madhumathi's father misinterprets this as love and fixes her marriage with A.C.P Manoj Bajpai. Bunny comes to know this and goes to A.C.P to stop their marriage and says that he and Madhumathi love each other. Then A.C.P stands for their marriage and arranges a flat for them to stay. The rivalry between Bunny and Madhumathi turns into love. Bunny fulfils her ambition to complete her studies. But some unexpected things occurs in Madhumathi's life. What happens later should be seen on the screen.
Performance:
Allu Arjun performed well. He tried to present himself in a way to attract his fans. There is no need to explain about his dance. He looks quite matured in his action sequences. Genelia looks charming in her simple attire. She did exceptionally well. Manoj Bajpai's character as a cameo is impressive. All the others have performed their roles adequately. Music pressented by Yuvan Shankar Raja is one of the highlights of the movie. All the songs are picturised well. Allu Aravind's production and Karunakaran's direction are good. The climax sequence in the movie is moving. All the other technical aspects are ok.
