'Fools' is a routine love story but what makes it different is the direction by Dasari Narayana Rao, he showed his directorial skills once again after a long gap. He chose a love story and perfectly mixed comedy into it. The speciality of the film is that he roped in Superstar Krishna, Satyanarayana, Jayasudha in good roles. Direction and screenplay by Dasari is excellent.

Coming to story, Deepthi (Gajala) is the daughter of a big software company owner (Krishna) and her mother (Jayasudha) also pampers her well. Narasimha Rao (Srinath) popular as Rao among his friends and fondly called Chanti by his brothers, is the student in a college, where Deepthi was also studying. Deepthi's father bashes Chanti claiming that he was in love with his daughter. In fact, both Chanti and Deepti do not even talk to each other. He also rebukes his daughter that she stooped to the level of going in for an abortion. Irked over the baseless allegation, Deepthi goes to Chanti saying that she had decided to love him and make the allegations of her father true. But Chanti do not know what to do and where to go. Somehow they take shelter in one of Deepthi's friend's house.

Deepthi friend's mother Ganga (Kovai Sarala) advises Chanti to take her to his elders and marry her. But Chanti tells her that he had four brothers and all of them are 'Fools' and his house is a 'Fools paradise'. Chanti has four brothers (Dasari Narayana Rao, Giribabu, Chandramohan). None of them get married as their father puts a precondition that a girl from a family which had a clean image for the past seven generations should only be a daughter-in-law of that house. However, the elder brother Ranga (Dasari) falls in love with Ganga (Kovai Sarala) and begets a girl child. Later he marries her secretly but could not disclose it to his father because their sister married a person against the wishes of their father and the latter dies after taking a promise from his sons to marry girls with a clean image for the past seven generations.

Later Ganga realises that he is none other than her husband's younger brother and gives Deepthi a photograph to play a drama. As per the plan, Deepthi introduces herself as the daughter of Ganga and threatens Ranga to allow her to stay in the house. He somehow manages things and keeps her with him. After a lot of hangama, Ranga realises that Deepthi and Chanti were moving in a love track. Confused over this, Ranga declares that Deepthi is none other than his daughter and she cannot marry Chanti. But Deepthi's original father enters the scene. He is none other than Ranga's brother-in-law. The whole love drama got enacted by him only to join his wife with her brothers.
The choreography of songs is good. Every one gave good performances. Gajala looked extremely beautiful. Dialogues by Satyanand are good. Comedy is the main highlight of the movie. In a nut shell 'Fools' is a complete family entertainer.
