'Donga Ramudu and Party' is a complete comedy flick. The movie is directed by Vamsi. All the characters of the film give comedy. Chakri's tunes are good. Srikanth gave an impressive performance.

Coming to story, Ramakrishna (Srikanth) popular as Donga Ramudu is a thief. He and three of his other gang members (Krishna Bhagawan and Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao), including a girl (Bhuvaneswari), used to cheat the people. At times they used to get caught in the hands of police and get a sound thrashing. But the ring leader remains safe and never caught by the police. They rob the people in a particular way, i.e they first select a house, where the wife of the husband has gone out and the man was staying alone. The girl goes into the house and seduces the male. When the latter tries to advance, the other two surface on the screen and loot the house, by threatening the male with awkward consequences.

Vasantha Lakshmi (Laya) is a journalist and writes articles for a popular weekly. Ramudu falls in love with Vasantha. Once Donga Ramudu prepares a plan and cheats a family, which comes to a house for a marriage alliance. But unfortunately, all the group of four almost gets caught by the police officer (Tanikella Bharani). During the chase the inspector loses eyesight. Fearing police repression, Donga Ramudu and party decides to escape from the city. They reach a remote village called Kotaiahgaripalem. The village was named after Kotaiah, a landlord and philanthropist. It was said that Kotaiah had quite good amount of assets and four persons, Somayajulu (Jayaprakash Reddy), Navala Yenkanna (Mallikarjuna Rao), Kallu Gavaraiah (Jeeva) and Ganuga Savitri (Jyothilakshmi) were the trustees of the assets. Nirmala (Suhasini) is Kotaiah's daughter, who deserts her father to marry a person of her choice. The four trustees await the legal heir of Kotaiah. Donga Ramudu claims that his name is Sivaram and he is the grandson of Kotaiah and son of Nirmala. He wins the hearts of the villagers with his acts. There again Vasantha Lakshmi comes across Ramakrishna. After a small drama, the trustees tell Sivaram/ Ramakrishna that his grandfather left him loans and not any property.

All the three gang members decide to leave Ramudu to his fate as there is no property to share and leave the place, but they remain with him out of their friendship. On watching this, Vasantha Lakshmi realises that Ramakrishna is a changed man and tells him that she too was loving him. But the inspector, who lost the eyesight regains his sight with the help of Somayajulu and reveals the real identity of Donga Ramudu in the midst of the people. However, Nirmala surfaces at that time and declares that she was ready to adopt him as Donga Ramudu became a changed man. In the climax Ramudu marries Vasantha Lakshmi.
Laya looked pretty, Chemistry between laya and Srikanth was good. Comedy between Krishna Bhagawan and Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao is worth watching. On the whole the movie is entertaining.
