VV Vinayak - who made his debut with a bang through Aadi - had to suffer a setback due to 'Chennakesava Reddy' starring Balakrishna. With this film he established his credentials as a talented director. Though a routine love story, the director gave a different treatment to the subject. Especially, the movie's screenplay is perfect.

Coming to story, Srinivas fondly called Sreenu (Nitin) is the son of Bhaskara Rao (Chalapati Rao), a postal employee, who runs a middle-class family. He is the only son and hence his mother (Sudha) pampers him well. However, he is a gutsy boy and is very aggressive. Nandini (Neha) is the daughter of Gowrishankar (Prakashraj), a local mafia leader. Sreenu saves Nandini from ragging and they become friends. During the college function, they both participate in the programme and Sreenu gets a warning to maintain a distance by one of the henchmen of Gowri. Till then Sreenu did not have any interest on Nandini, but challenges that he would start loving Nandini. Both Sreenu and Nandini fall in love. However, Gowri could not digest the affair between them and decides to teach a lesson to Sreenu. As his followers create a scene at Sreenu's house, the latter comes to Gowri's house that he would continue his love and marry his daughter.

Gowri trains his guns towards Sreenu and in a well laid out plan, he decides to eliminate him. However, Sreenu survives the attempt. To save his prestige, Gowri fixes her marriage with some other boy and sends his daughter to his father-in-law's place Nizampet secretly. Patel (Rajan P Dev) loves his granddaughter very much. Somehow, Sreenu finds that Nandini was in Nizampet and gains entry into Patel's house. Gowri gets a doubt as Sreenu goes missing from the city and goes to Patel's house and heaves a sigh of relief after noticing his daughter was there safely. However, he did not know that Sreenu was also there. But the shrewd Patel realises that Sreenu was there. At the same time, he accepts his granddaughter's love towards Sreenu and promises them that he would unite them. How, the couple got married forms the climax.

Nithin of 'Jayam'-fame proved himself as an action hero. He did the stunts well. Neha did well both in performance and in glamour role. Prakashraj as usual is a master in such roles. Comedy by Venu Madhav, LB Sriram and MS Narayana is excellent. Chalapathi Rao and Sudha are competent as Seenu's parents. RP Patnaik's music is good.
