Sri Raghava has come out with a different story that surrounds among three people. 'Dhoolpeta' is the
dubbed version of the Tamil movie 'Puthupettai'. The movie focuses mainly on the life of a gangster. The
director needs to be applauded for his attempt in getting effecient work from the team.
Kumar (Dhanush) comes from a traumatic childhood. He ends up in the big, bad city. Thrown into the dark
end, the city accepts him through the arms of a gangster. His team is included in all sorts of crimes. In the
same shadowy world, there lives Krishnaveni (Sneha), a commercial sex worker who is battered by the
elements of the city. Kumar comes across her and falls for her charm. He tries to save her. In the process,
he even goes to an extent of killing his master. The gang forces him to be the leader of the team. And how
he manages to get her among the twists and turns, forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Dhanush has performed well as a gangster. He lived in his character. His chemistry with Sneha is
interesting. Sneha's appearance is different from her routine one. She did her role impressively. Sonia
Agarwal has got liitle role to play. The others did upto the content. Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is of the
assets of the movie. Story and direction are excellent. All the technical aspects are fine.
