'Balu ABCDEFG' brings back Pawan Kalyan of 'Kushi'. He looks more handsome than Gudumba Shankar and and is more energetic in dance numbers. Direction by Karunakaran is good but he loses grip in the second half of the story. Production values ofthe movie are excellent. Dialogues by Kona Venkat are perfect. Comedy is situational and good.

Story:
Balu (Pawan Kalyan) lands in Mahankali market and sets up a boutique. Nayudamma (Singh) is local mafia leader who forcibly grabbed the land of Mahankali market that was originally owned by a Jamindar family (Suman). Nayudamma kills anyone who claims the land. Balu wins the heart of Nayudamma’s aid. Balu’s real intention is to get the land documents from Nayudamma and give it to his mother. Balu manages to get documents from Nayudamma and gives it to his mother. But Nayudamma already sells off this land to Delhi based Mafia leader Khan (Gulshan Grover). When Khan learns that Ghani alias Balu is spotted at Nayudamma’s place in Hyderabad, Khan lands in Hyderabad to find him.
In the flashback Balu is Ghani, an orphan raised by Khan and became a professional killer. In Delhi, Ghani does whatever Khan orders and kills anyone who is against the interests of Khan. Ghani once encounters a medico who is attempting suicide. He rescues her. That girl Indira (Neha) falls in love with him. But the twist is Khan kills a local Baba and sets ablaze his ashram, which is seen by Indira. Now, Khan asks Ghani to kill Indira. But Ghani runs away with Indira to Agra, where Khan’s men kill her. Indira is none other than the daughter of the deceased Jaminder (Suman). The rest of the film is how Ghani turns as Balu who fulfills his lover’s last wish of getting back Mahankali market land from the grip of Nayudamma.


Music:Music by Mani Sharma is the highlight of the movie. 'Athi methani', 'Kannu Kottina'and 'Hut hutja' are the pick of the lot. Picturization of the songs are good.
Performance:
Pawan Kalyan excels in his performance he is at ease in romantic scenes and action scenes. His body language is perfect. He dances with lot of energy and passion. Shriya looks glamourous and lends a decent supporting role. She dances well in the song 'Kannu Kottina'. Neha justifies her character as Indu, but she looks lost in some scenes. Jaya sudha is adequate. Sunil, Brahmanandam and Dharmavarapu Subramanyam are good in comedy. Suman's character is small but he justifies it. Gulshan Grover is impressive as the main villain.
