Synopsis:
'Gowri' is a remake of the Tamil film Tirumalai with Vijay in the lead. Gowry (Sumanth) is a mechanic with a heart of gold who is an orphan living in the `automobile street`. He has a group of friends for whom he would do anything and his neighbours to whom he is very close (Naresh) and his wife (Nandini). On New Year day he meets a beautiful girl (Charmy) a student of fashion designing. She greets him and tells him to spread happiness around and immediately our hero falls hook-line sinker for her! She is the daughter of a business tycoon.
Meanwhile the tycoon father hates the idea of a lowbrow mechanic being his son-in-law and seeks the help of a local godfather (Atul Kulkarnai) who kills people like swatting flies. How Gowry goes about it and will he win over the girl in the end forms the jist of teh story?
The film is directed by BV Ramana and produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore. The music director is Koti and camera is by Hari Anumolu.
